Freycinet Bushwalk

Freycinet

Our Certificate III in Guiding students have just completed their studies for the semester and are now enjoying a break, before they progress to Certificate IV in July.  Their last bushwalk for the term was a three-day trip to Freycinet National Park in early June.

Their time at Freycinet was a great opportunity for students to gain experience in coordinating and leading  a multi-day, backpack-based trip in one of Tasmania’s most popular national parks.

There was also a chance to apply some of the interpretive techniques learnt during the course to Freycinet’s natural & cultural features.  Topics were pre-allocated and researched with the students responsible for choosing the appropriate setting and occasion to deliver information to their peers during the walk.
